Spatial Analysis of Biodemographic Data

Biological variables are taking on increasing importance in population studies. They include age pyramids and pyramids of degenerative and clinical diseases, migrations and genetic patterns.
This work provides an overall view of the methods used to improve understanding of the geographic (spatial) distribution of these data and opens a reflexion on the complexity of the interactions between the individual, the family, the neighborhood, the city, the region, the country, etc.
These new approaches open up an area that has until now received little attention in the life sciences, but the developments described in the book give the promise that the field has a bright future.
