Proceedings of the tenth conference of French health economists.
French health economists met a few months ago to review latest developments in four major areas. The aim of this publication is to make available to a broader public a summary of the most outstanding progress in health economics over the past ten years.
It includes:
- An introduction to the new theories being studied by health economists.
- Decision-making, risks and uncertainties in health: application of decision-making processes to the field of health
- Productivity and the health system: assessing situations and the results of intervention. In particular, how efficient are hospital departments and how does efficiency affect the quality of health care?
- Technological innovation and health: the link between innovation in medicine and increased spending, efficiency, fixing a price scale for treatment and the role of evaluation.
